GM's 5.3/6.0 are some of the best stock engines on the road. But there still just stock engines and they have a potential for more horsepower. Buying a Volant kit will increase the air charge and in effect increase the horsepower. Also sustaining a cooler air charge from the outside air increases the density of the air which gives the engine more oxygen in each air molecule-and more oxygen means a more efficient burn.
